Darin’s first nutritional experiments started when he was 15yrs old cleansing with whole foods using grapefruits and exercise.   Astounded with the body’s response changed Darin forever triggering his passion, learning and experimenting for optimal health, wellness and fitness.   As an accomplished athlete in high school and after a career ending college football injury Darin’s life catapulted towards a professional dedication of health, healing, exercise and nutrition.

Earning his BA in Exercise Physiology/Nutrition with emphasis in business and combining his now over 15 years of professional experience in health, nutrition and exercise Darin founded Darin’s Naturals at the end of 2004.  His motivation was to provide higher quality, more unique products that was not existing in the market place. Starting in 2003, in order to have direct information and knowledge through his formulations Darin took his unique ability to connect with people leading him around the planet developing many direct relationships with the indigenous people and manufacturers from some of the most potent places on earth; Peru, Amazon, Bhutan, Africa, Costa Rica, Yucatan, etc.  He has relationships with thousands of farmers and growers.  Darin’s Naturals has successfully sourced over 300 unique, sustainable herbs and superfoods throughout the world.  Darin has been formulating and consulting for many private companies and professionals.

He later went on to earning his Masters Degree in Psychology bringing mind and body closer together in all that he does.

Motivated by the endless abundance of medicinal plants Darin has been importing and facilitated research in the herbal field for over 5 years.   Working directly with top agronomist at the International Potato Center in Peru, Darin and team help develop things like Yacon Root (Smallanthus sonchifolius), Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) and was one of the first importers of this traditional Incan Gold to the US.

In 2007, having heard of his work in South America, the Government of Bhutan’s Trade Ministry joined by the World Bank, contacted him to aid in the opening of trade for the first time in US history with Bhutan’s medicinal plants and other products.  Darin became one of the first western ‘herbal hunters’ to venture to this ecologically diverse medicinal kingdom in the Himalayas spending upwards to 2 months with them there and at UCLA.  He then became one of the first people to actually import authentic Cordyceps mushroom (C. sinensis)  to the US from this region in 2008.  He is currently a Founder and Producer in the Documentary, Bhutan: A Kingdom of Happiness www.bhutanakingdomofhappiness.com

Darin continues his work with Dr. Bernd Neugebauer (Doctor of Biodynamics, Past, VP of International Organic Federation, President of  Latin America’s Global Economic Network) in the Yucatan Region with traditional Mayan alchemies of food and herbal development, researching and testing new fermentation processes, effective microorganisms and oxidation reductive functional foods; applying ancient techniques for new applications in functional foods.

Also in 2007 Darin was brought on as a consultant to an Australian water company, www.GoodVibesForYou.com.   And in 2008, he was brought on as a partner  in the company working with Stabilized Liquid Oxygen and Atmospheric Water generating technologies.
